TradingView Alternatives 2024: Best Paid & Free Competitors

TradingView Trade Ideas TrendSpider MetaStock TC2000 FinViz
  1. The best charting tool for crypto and stocks
While TradingView offers better charting features than MetaStock, I much prefer the backtester in MetaStock. Firstly, there are close to 250 built-in trading strategies (“explorations”) for you to backtest, compared to the 23 available in TradingView. Admittedly, TradingView also has a vast library of community-built strategies available, however it is quite messy to sort through and many of them aren’t worth your time to begin with.

  2. Trade Ideas is one of the leading cloud-based stock market analysis platforms that comes with artificial intelligence support to analyze trends and get more data points for sure.
The main difference between Trade Ideas vs TradingView, is that Trade Ideas was specifically designed with day traders in mind. It’s real time scanner comes packed with more than 40 pre-configured day trading strategies and over 500 price alerts & filters. It also has around 48 pre-built “channels”, which essentially serve as dedicated workstations for popular day trading “themes”. These include:

  3. TrendSpider Automated Technical Analysis Software is Trading Software for Day and Swing Traders that can Automatically analyze Stocks, ETFs, Forex, FX and Crypto charts in real time using cloud-based AI and powerful algorithms.
TrendSpider supports over 55,000 assets spanning US stocks & ETFs, indices, futures, FX, and major crypto exchanges. However, it doesn’t support broker integrations, so it can’t be used for stock or crypto trading like TradingView. This is one of the reasons I select TradingView as the best TrendSpider alternative.

The best stock market software for charting, scanning & sorting and technical analysis.
You can also use TC2000 as a trading platform if you create a separate TC2000 brokerage account. This allows you to trade stocks and options directly from your charts with flexible execution rules. These include:

However, that is not to take anything away from Finviz, as this is a great platform for beginners to experiment with for free. For example, the charts are capable of automated trend line analysis, which are surprisingly accurate and very useful if your eyes aren’t “trained” to spot chart patterns yet. However, be aware that drawing tools and technical indicators require a paid subscription to Finviz Elite.
