Decentralized Platform
Audius is a blockchain-based decentralized music streaming platform, which ensures that artists have more control over their content and revenue.
Higher Revenue for Artists
Artists keep a significant portion of the revenue they generate on Audius, compared to traditional music streaming services that take larger cuts.
Low Fees
Minimal transaction fees due to its integration with blockchain, making monetization more efficient for artists.
Token Rewards
Users and artists can earn Audius' native cryptocurrency, AUDIO, which can be used within the platform or traded on exchanges.
Censorship Resistance
The decentralized nature of Audius makes it resistant to censorship, enabling artists to publish their work without fear of it being removed.

Audius allows close interaction between artists and fans through various community features, fostering a more engaged user base.

Audius tackles this from a different angle, it's basically a decentralized streaming service. You don't find a lot of the top artists here but the concept shows promise. It's good at helping you find some snazzy music from artists you've never herd of before so that's the reason I'm often using it for music discovery. You do not need an account to stream music but you do need one of you want to make playlists or... Source: about 2 years ago

There are attempts to change game using crypto like artysmusic.eth or https://audius.co . Its still too early to say if they will change something or not. Their model depends on using buying crypto tokens - I don't see it realistic now. Source: over 2 years ago

Streaming services without volume normalisation like - https://audius.co - they really sucks for longer term listening. Loud wars argument "everybody is listening with normalisation turned off" - well, I challenge it. Source: over 2 years ago

However, plenty of other companies manage cryptocurrencies and users wallet addresses in a manner which does ride or die on an email address. Does this technology use the users email address in their crypto address? Why can I change my email address on cash.app but not this service? Can you access and exchange your music NFTs outside of the audius.co website? If no, then what role does the email address actually... Source: about 3 years ago
In Music: You get direct compensation for Royalties. So all these artist talking about the “record label” stole they money won’t happen. Example has sold owner ship of one of his songs and the NFT holders get paid Royalties because they actually own a fraction of the song. https://royal.io/editions/Nas-Rare Https://audius.co/. We get content links from youtube.com, soundcloud.com, spotify.com, etc. . Automod currently removes all of these which is good. But now we've included a new url "audius.co" to be removed, yet we have exceptions where we dont what that new url to be removed. Like "self promo" links get removed but threads asking for playlist submissions, we want the url to not be removed. Source: about 3 years ago
Haven’t seen it mentioned here but Audius ( https://audius.co ) is an option, lots of EDM and similar, crypto based but free to use. Source: over 3 years ago
You make a good point about gold having uses other than as a store of value, but so does crypto. See NFTs and what they are beginning to do for artists, which is just barely scratching the surface. See Audius. Source: over 3 years ago
