What I did was look up the touch typing hand layout (googling it is pretty easy), then just force myself to use it. I started off going from 37wpm to 7wpm, but through a lot of use (especially doing daily type tests on websites like https://play.typeracer.com/ or https://10fastfingers.com/ ) I'm now at ~65wpm without looking after a couple months.
