  • How to sell software
Also, in your space, look at who sells via hubs.com etc. And see if you can approach them directly. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is this acceptable quality? Order from Xometry
Recommend you try hubs.com instead. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Which Case to Get? Stratux vs SummitLink vs Other?
BTW, if you don't know anyone with a printer, you can always send it somewhere to have it printed. Lots of place online do it, such as hubs.com. Some UPS Stores now have 3D Printers as well: https://www.theupsstore.com/print/3d-printing/locations. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Trunk corners
Use sketchup (it's free) to model it, then you can go to hubs.com or shapeways to get a quote on a 3D printed part. If it's gonna be out of the sun, you can probably get by with PLA. Otherwise use PETG for higher heat resistance. Source: over 1 year ago
  • [USA] [Seeking] I'm trying to just print a small item, but hitting high minimums
I tried getting a quote on hubs.com for example-- it said $10 but then minimum order size of $90. Is there a way I can get this very inexpensively printed? I am just trying to print one for now for myself. Source: over 1 year ago

  • How would you go about quoting developing a campus map like this?
Any who this is a 3D rendering, out of the wheelhouse for a lot of us. I'd find a specialized company to do it then add 30%, then keep the 30% for yourself. Or refer your client to someone else and let them work it out. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Campus Facilities Maps
OSU - they are using a commercial off the shelf tool from Concept3d. Source: over 1 year ago
  • THEY RUINED THE ONLINE MAP
Interesting; it appears that the vendor (Concept3D changed their map's implementation to use Google Maps under-the-hood, or perhaps its Google Maps integration was updated to a newer version. There's nothing the University can really do about this. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • New interactive, maintained, and official UCSB campus map
That 2019 map I think you are talking about was built using the ESRI system/API https://www.esri.com/en-us/home and done unofficially with the geography department. This new one is by a company called Concept 3D https://concept3d.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
