I switched from using static .mp4 files to HLS video-on-demand streaming with adaptive bitrates - that way the videos should watchable even though users have bad connection speed. You said Vimeo is not working out for you (hard to believe Vimeo is the cause of your issues and not you). So alternatively then, your best bet is to use Mux.com, Cloudflare Stream, or api.video. This could work as a third party extension, but direct support from Brave would instantly draw controversy as it's perceived that the only reason Dissenter exists is to support toxic radical right wingers. I feel that there is still space for a platform for content creators which is away from any restrictions. I was talking to a lawyer friend of mine about drafting a user agreement which makes it impossible for anyone to sue any content creator or the platform, or for any government or group to force removal of content. but in the end we figured that we would need a back to back agreement with our service...
