They also are very hesitant to allow researchers to publish their breakthroughs which makes recruitment very hard. It seems a little suspicious that the person sharing those posts isn't building an open platform himself -- why not make it more open /u/paydevs ? I think Liberapay is a great way to spontaneously pay OSS developers.
