  • We Created Something Cool to Help Streamers Grow, What Do You Think? DailyClips.io
The auto caption is from assemblyai.com, they do a pretty good job. As for manual, you can do `Add Layer` > `Text` from the short-form editor then trim each text layer. Its slow going though. Ideally we will figure out a better interface and build it. For now I recommend using the auto caption, then modifying it to your liking, if there is more than a few words it will probably be faster. Thanks for the kind words! Source: about 1 year ago

  • I analyzed the last year of popular news podcasts to see if the frequency of negative news could be used to predict the stock market.
Hello r/python community. I spent a couple weeks analyzing some podcast data from Up First and The Daily over the last year, 8/21/2020 to 8/21/2021 and compared spikes in the frequency of negative news in the podcast to how the stock market performed over the last year. Specifically against the DJIA, the NASDAQ, and the price of Gold. I used Python Selenium to crawl ListenNotes to get links to the mp3 files,... Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Django 4.0 will include a built-in Redis cache back end
Django is still my go-to. Specifically [Django-REST-Framework](https://www.django-rest-framework.org/) with a front-end written with [react-static](https://github.com/react-static/react-static). Django's ORM is so nice and the ecosystem around it rocks. Its biggest downside is painful upgrades. They don't really follow [semantic versioning](https://semver.org/). - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • react-static: anyone using or have experience with this library?
I found a reference to react-static which looks like a nice fit for a project I'm working on but there isn't much recent activity in the repo. I'm not sure if that means it's basically done and just works or if it has fallen out of maintenance. I see it's from Tanner Linsley so that's a good endorsement on its own but just wondering if anyone has used it for production code lately. Source: almost 3 years ago

  • How to create a single-page static site?
Gatsby looks nice, but it is a no-go for reasons that I do not understand. The recommendation seems to include sapper, but svelte is not good for ClojureScript either, as it relies on mutable data. I could not find information about other alternatives to use with ClojureScript, like React-static. Source: over 3 years ago
