With regard to encryption tools, I use AxCrypt, which is cross-platform, but isn't free in that form. It would though encrypt each file in-place, without need for a dedicated folder or vault and encrypted file will sync with OneDrive, via the standard sync client. That is common for large files. If you press "Try again", it usually resumes from exactly the same spot. Generally tho, I recommend using a download manager in such cases. I can recommend uGet, it's completely open source and is a frontend for wget. Source: over 1 year ago
