I recently got the Wavlink AX3000 mesh router to replace my service provided router so that I can set my own preferred DNS server (running Pihole on my Rasberry Pi). Not completely sure about your situation but if you choose the "buy now, pay later" option you could have a 21 day test period so you can see if it works for you. Personally, it seems it would fit you perfectly and if the S pen doesn't have the same notification feature you can use a tile to keep track of it if it's ever lost. I hope this helped!
