This is essentially a watered down version of the "MVC" architecture. I use http lib of node for server and requests, cheerio for webscraping and Sendinblue for sending the emails and mongodb (atlas) for storing all of the data. All the screens were being powered by Pis and its just another point of failure (power, hdmi, etc.). Since all the screens were Samsung Professional Signage screens, I moved the system over to Embed Signage which runs off the Smart function in the screens. Source: about 3 years ago
