  • With Latte Dock no longer being maintained, what's another good Dock to use for KDE?
Have you tried Cario-Dock? Its not a native KDE app, but it does support KDE integration. I installed it on KDE Neon after the Latte Dock announcement. No crashes, and it has a lot of features. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Some Skeuomorphic Icons and Themes for Linux Devices
If you like Macs, the dock program Cairo-Dock has a bunch of built in themes, including one to look like the OSX style dock with the cool reflections: https://glx-dock.org. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How can I get this type of look on a Dock?
The closest thing you can do this is with cairo dock. It take some time, to customize it to make it look like what you see in the picture. It was a trend a decade ago, but not sure how much the package is maintained right now. For alternative you can check out docky which works pretty well with Gnome and its cousins, and if you are using KDE I better advice you to stick with latte dock. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Accessing old laptop removed from domain
I would try KonBoot before throwing the towel. Depending on how bitlocker is implemented (whole disk vs user folder) this could work. Https://kon-boot.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Bypass Microsoft login
If all you need is access to those files then you can just browse the drive's contents from another computer if you pull it out. If you need to actually login to their user for whatever reason, you can try booting from this https://kon-boot.com/ which will skip any kind of login. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Hello, just a quick question. I have a MacBook Pro A1708. I don’t remember my password or account details that I have on this computer. Had it stored for some years. Can I remove the account by resetting the computer, or will it ask it when setting up the machine?
You might be able to do it using this software (supports macOS 12 Monterey) https://kon-boot.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • My mum died and left me three towers and three laptops and half a dozen cell phones. But no passwords. What do I do?
Https://kon-boot.com/ should work as well. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is there a way to get admin permission on a computer without a password that doesn't damage the system?
