I tried using https://cal.com for a bit but ended up just switching over to https://zcal.co and it has been great so far. All these other scheduling tools end up trying to do too much and always seem to end up a bit clunky and charge absurd amounts for it

  • Start your own (side) business with open-source in mind
Cal.com is an open-source event-juggling scheduler for everyone, and is free for individuals. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
  • Fellow HSP entrepreneurs, how do you manage your energy and stress?
I force clients who want to talk to me to book a call. I use cal.com (free) and my Google Calendar (which its linked to) only allows calls on specific days/times. I have a few "Call Blocks" where they can book. That let's me do calls in a small section of my week, with ample downtime to recover the rest of the week. I'm still learning how many calls a day I can handle. Currently anything more than 2 is too much. Source: 7 months ago

  • Are there any apps that automate this subtitle effect?
I've used Milk for this before https://milkvideo.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Fellow editors, does anyone know a good resource for "sing-a-long" style subtitles?
To achieve this, I have been using a tool called Milk Video, which has unfortunately been a nightmare. The interface is wonky, the workflow is strange, and it constantly fails to save changes to transcripts. I have wasted hours simply trying to get Milk to produce correct subtitles, and I'm at my wit's end. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How to structure the UI and data structures around a drag and drag canvas UI in React
I started talking through the details of how I built milkvideo.com and thought it would be helpful for people who are learning. I'm going to continue these videos and explain all the various parts of the application. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Show HN: Podcast Audiogram Tool – Make social clip with captions, title and wave
100% Our core product is actually more about creating freeform visuals. This itself is more for captions. If you are interested in just doing a waveform + logo, you can make your own template/layout in the parent application https://milkvideo.com. I'm also free to personally walk you through in case that might be helpful. You can book time here: https://calendly.com/rememberlenny/15-min or call me directly! - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • [Question] Made a (free) audiogram tool to make Youtube promo clips
This is just a mini-app, but you can make your own video shorts using the actual product (milkvideo.com). Source: over 2 years ago
