  • Anyone else following this Texas abortion case?
If it's any consolation, it was top billing on cnn.com yesterday, which is where I first saw it. Entire top left of the screen was the woman's face and a huge headline. Now it's buried in a couple lines below the (digital) fold. Source: 7 months ago

Try and force the page by entering a url in the browser such as cnn.com . Also, try loading a full browser and trying to surf. What type of phone are you on? Source: 7 months ago
  • Does anyone know why CNN is suddenly blocked for me?
FWIW, I had to disable the Wipr content filtering on cnn.com to see the web site. Guess I'll get my news fix from wapo.com, now. Source: 7 months ago
  • cnn.com blocking browser because of uBlockOrigin with a message of "Browser Blocked" and to whitelist EasyList.
I don't know what EasyList or uBlock are (i.e., I don't use those), but I got blocked by cnn.com as well. Firefox on Mac. Turns out it was the "I don't care about cookies" extension (automatically accept consent requests). Once I disabled that for cnn, it worked again. Source: 7 months ago

  • what terminal emulator do you use and why?
For this reason, and because I think the Zellij project is interesting, I currently use a combination of Alacritty and Zellij, as I consider the risk of OSC52 in my use case to be relatively low. Source: 7 months ago
  • Which terminal do you use? I don't like Warp
I personally love using Alacritty. Super fast, and no bloat. Takes a little bit of setup such as setting up a Font if you want icons to appear. Kitty is supposed to be really good, but I've never used it before. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Warp? A terminal behind login popup
My journey of using terminal emulators began together with my introduction to Linux about 7 years ago. GNOME terminal was my first as it came pre-installed on Ubuntu, my first Linux distribution. Since then, I've had the opportunity to explore and utilize a range of terminal emulators, including Alacritty, Kitty, st, Konsole, xterm, and most recently iTerm2. It's been interesting to experiment with these different... - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
