Great read u/gigde18. I also think that remote culture is important. I liked the part about building strong connections with team mates. I found this really difficult to do once the pandemic started. There are a lot of roles that rely on having connections in the workplace to build consensus get things you need done. There are other CLI search tools for code: grep, ripgrep, etc. Or actual search tools (Sourcegraph, Github, IDEs), but I always reach for Silver Searcher/Ag. Ag is a code-searching tool similar to ack, but faster.
