This is not a logo change. It's a corporate identity redesign with a whole slew of elements and - assuming the art director has done their job - a new design guide that uses the same typography, color palette (because someone apparently didn't listen to instructions on accessibility when they took their design degree), geometry rules, so forth. Color-stop is for the value of color and a stop from 0% to 100%(or length) along the gradient's axis.
