If you decide you need an appraiser, you can use the Appraisal Institute's "Find An Appraiser" feature on their website (www.appraisalinstitute.org). Other areas to look include checkbook.org, Angie's List, and even Yelp. Source: almost 2 years ago

Would you mind looking at checkbook.org for my wife and I? We're leaning towards either Kaiser Permanente - Mid-Atlantic States - Standard (E3), Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan - Basic (11), or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan - FEP Blue Focus (13), but my office doesn't give me access to checkbook.org, so they want a fee to run the information. Thank you. Very helpful. Was just today looking into which FEHB HDHP HSA family coverage options were available in the D.C. area. I was using checkbook.org to search (nice tool). Source: over 2 years ago
The insurance plans are definitely overwhelming. A checkbook.org subscription was definitely worth it, we ended up finding a plan that meets my family's specific needs that I probably would have overlooked because it's rarely mentioned here, not a name I would have known, and hasn't invested a lot on website design. Not a specific destination answer, but I recommend checking out AllTrails. I like the details it provides. The reviews seem fair and the app is great. Source: about 1 year ago
How long of a hike/walk? Bridle Trails is fantastic. Trilogy area of Redmond (Redmond Ridge) also has a ton of trails. I highly recommend the alltrails.com app or site. You can search by easy/moderate/hard and distance and using the map zoom into a specific area. Source: about 1 year ago
OH and use alltrails.com to look up trails you're interested in and see the latest conditions. If I were you, and people are saying there's an active bear on a trail I would avoid it since you are alone. You'll find some trails people mention not great visibility around some corners or due to huckleberry bushes...I'd avoid those too on your own. Bears might be into huckleberry when you get there and the last thing... Source: about 1 year ago
