  • Alternatives to nextcloud? Is this abandonware?
As far as alternatives go there is cozy cloud, which tbh I never tried, but it seems a lot more limited. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is Drive the best GDrive alternative available?
I use Cozy Drive. It's open source. You can pick a folder in your pc, and it syncs it to the cloud. You can still open in offline. They have 5gb free version, which I use, because I need it only for documents and photos. Android app is good too, and you can automatically sync your photos. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I need a Password Manager and don't know what to get.
However, it really depends on one needs and usage. For example, tags might be a more flexible way to organize the passwords than folders, I agree with that. • What’s a good way of sharing resources at home (local net)
If you want more of a web-based file sharing solution, you can try out more professionally made open source file sharing services like Syncthing, YouTransfer, or Cozy. The advantage of web-based solutions is that you can use them with your smartphone as well, which is very convenient. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Ontario users - let's compare PoP locations. Were you geo-relocated? Any slowdowns etc?
While investigating I discovered that the popular site https://www.whatismyip.com was regularly disseminating incorrect ASN data for starlink ip's. Every other site I can across had the correct data published, which led me to question just where the former site was obtaining their data. I emailed them, as well as alerting Starlink and both got back to me stating they were in contact with each other, and on it. I... Source: over 2 years ago
