Daily Prompt mentions (7)

  • Where do you get your inspiration from?
I've only found prompt apps focused on writers so far (e.g. Daily Prompt and Writing Prompts), but those are often much longer and don't have a clear subject. Does something like this even exist? Where do you get your inspiration from? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • need writing buddy
If you guys end up needing prompts, check out Daily Prompt. Full disclosure, I'm involved with the team there at the moment but there's a new prompt every day and I think thousands in the prompts library too :). Source: over 2 years ago
  • Hello. Are there any writing platforms? The reason I don’t use wattpad is because of it’s ‘fanfic based’ community. I’m a guy who loves to write sci-fi, horror/psychological horror and thriller stories. Yet on wattpad there’s not much reception for that. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
Have you tried Daily Prompt yet? It's a slightly different concept as it's prompts-based, but it helps get people writing every day. From what I've seen there's a pretty wide range of things being submitted there, so your sci-fi and thriller stories should be welcome :). Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Thoughts on Wattpad?
Also Daily Prompt is a similar sized community to Neovel :) It's a bit of a different concept, being a prompts-based app to help you write every day, but you could test out scenes/characters there and get some pretty good feedback. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Why do I have the impression that my writing style is too simple :(
There's nothing wrong with a simple writing style, as lots of the comments below have echoed, but if you want to increase its complexity perhaps try reading more or challenging yourself with certain writing prompts that are outside of what you usually write about. Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Is there a way to manually update the lucide icon library for callouts?
For example, here's a rock icon from The Noun Project (another good resource for icons/SVGs). Download the SVG (you may need to sign up for an account, but downloads are free for personal use -- alternatively just use something from Lucide or any other SVG you can find). Open the SVG in a text editor, and copy the SVG element:. Source: 7 months ago
  • Selling images while subscribed and then unsubscribing
How does this work, for example on https://thenounproject.com you can use the icons, edit the icons and resell the icons when subscribed. However, what happens when you aren't subscribed? If these icons were used, edited and given away when building a website for a client, if I'm not subscribed anymore would I have to pull all of the icons? What if I didn't sell the icons but used them on a personal website, do I... Source: 8 months ago
