There are countless videos on YouTube around how they play at the tabletop, but I think the best place to start would actually be dndbeyond.com. You will be locked to the basics, but you can get an idea from character building there because you can create characters and see how stats impact rolls and explore class features. My current favorite is Beyond All Reason. Before BAR, my favorite was Zero-K. Both BAR and zk use the same game engine, SpringRTS. BAR and zk are very similar to one another, and they're successors for Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. Source: about 1 year ago
