Ok I see what you mean, yeah that's a pain. You could turn off MySQL in MAMP and run a separate DB app such as DBngin (https://dbngin.com/), which makes it easier to start/stop different DB's but only offers different versions of MySQL, not MariaDB. Source: about 2 years ago
Laravel has a built in server which leverages local PHP. I use that combined with https://dbngin.com/ for MySQL + Redis. Then frontend is ran with local node (via https://volta.sh/, also very quick). Source: over 2 years ago

Anyone seen a note-taking app where you can just drag and drop sentences, paragraphs, notes etc. Into buckets/folders or similar types of divides. Perhaps like https://speare.com - would really like an easier way to collect together refs than exhausting copy and paste. For my book I ended up printing out notes, cutting them up, and arranging them in stacks. Was great fun but I find it insane there is not any... Source: about 1 year ago
Is there a function on Obsidian - or any other application - where you can just drag and drop sentences, paragraphs, notes etc. (or atomic notes) into buckets/folders or similar types of divides. The notes are small - sometimes a sentence or a clause - and for that reason I don't tend to use Obsidian due to having to make a note title for each file.
