Notably, Sotheby’s purchased virtual land in Decentraland and created a digital version of its London headquarters. Sotheby’s uses this gallery to showcase and sell its digital art. But if you actually want to build something, run it yourself and have no fees, you should check out my project vendure. It is built on Node with TypeScript and handles all the hard stuff for you. If OTS does not fit the bill, try one of the many open-source e-commerce frameworks that already solved all the hard parts for you, and allow you to just build out the custom parts specific to your requirements. Another option is to take a framework that handles 80% of the stuff you need (customer/order/inventory managament, payments, shipping etc) but that gives you the flexibility to create whatever custom flows you need.
