  • Fingerprinting and DNS leaks
If you only want to check for DNS leak, you can use this page: Https://dnsleaktest.com/. Source: 7 months ago
  • Will DNS server's geolocation = my geolocation on any services?
So...I registered an account on a website that is only available in certain countries using VPN. And I checked both https://ipleak.net and https://dnsleaktest.com , both websites said I'm connecting from the country I select to. Source: 8 months ago
  • Odd DNS behavior
This seems to work, except when it doesn't. If I run an extended test at dnsleaktest.com from my laptop, it shows I'm only using NextDNS. But if I run it from my iPad I get a bunch of IPv4 AT&T DNS servers returned. I have verified that my iPad is configured to only use the RB5009 as its DNS server. Can anyone tell me why or how it might be picking up all these other DNS servers? Source: 9 months ago
  • Xiaomi phones wifi connected but no internet, but other devices have internet (thru wireguard gateway). Why?
On my Windows PC and my ios devices, if I connect them to the separate wifi, they have internet access through such gateway (checking it with dnsleak.com and dnsleaktest.com ); but my two Android phones (Xiaomi Poco F1 and Mi10T pro), on the same wifi connection have no internet access. Strange. I did check their ip address, dns address, they all use the same subnet and same dns address as on my Windows and iOS... Source: 9 months ago
  • OpenVPN for routing only specific streaming app Android TV
Route dnsleaktest.com 255.255.255.255 I suspect that there is some DNS leakage which is giving my location away to the streaming service. Is there some way to stop the leakage but still have specific URLs that should only use vpn? Source: 10 months ago

  • Cheap MTB GPS
Hello, I am looking for a relatively cheap GPS, that can use GPX Routes/Tracks that are compatible with Footpath. Thanks! Source: 7 months ago
  • Favorite running “map” app?
It won’t help you discover the most popular running spots in a city, but I use Footpath every day to plan my route. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Walkable Areas Ideas
I use a mobile app called Footpath, which lets you map out a walking course on a map with your finger. Then the app gives you turn-by-turn directions as you walk. I feel like the dog and I have walked every residential street in the La Mesa area by now. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Apps for planning your route?
When I need to run somewhere I am not familiar with (usually when traveling), I use Footpath for the turn-by-turn directions. It imports .gpx route files (there are a surprising number out there on the web), and you can draw/edit routes with your finger. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Turn by turn navigation
I've never used RideWithGPS. However, when I need turn-by-turn nav, I both build my routes and record my activity using the Footpath app. I have yet to find a better app for planning a route on my phone. It does turn-by-turn nav real well too. I suspect it can probably import routes from Strava. Source: over 1 year ago
