  Not a book but a comic, but I've always been fond of the different elves in Elfquest - they are all the same race (in the sense of having common ancestors many generations back) but there is so much diversity. Some live in the desert, some in ice lands, some in the forest, the ocean. Some still follow the ways of their ancestors, others adapted to their chosen homeland.   No, but you do have A complete story line. The story continues of course, but the first 8 books are sort of a trilogy (1-4 a complete story, 5-6 a complete story, 7-8 a complete story) and are regarded as the best. Everything after that has mixed reviews. • Ending of Future Quest?

  I've especially enjoyed Future Quest, so imagine my dismay when the story abruptly ended with nothing resolved. I don't know if this is a mistake - I emailed the folks at elfquest.com to ask, but the emails bounced back - or if it was never completed. Source: over 1 year ago
