Really, since you have no idea what the base pigments are in any color you want, I would refer to my original suggestion. If that isn't enough, then try thinning with a matching medium and then use the wet palette. You can also add a flow aid, but I would suggest a retarder, so the paint dries slightly slower on the model. That may help achieve more of a contrast effect as well.
