Hotjar has been our go-to for optimizing UI, reducing bounce rates, and refining CTAs. Its powerful insights have been instrumental in enhancing user experience. A staple tool for data-driven decisions!
I don't like the service. It is very slow and very expensive. Not recommended it to others.
Don't work the heatmap and I did not like others.
Based on our record, Hotjar should be more popular than Evergreen ILS. It has been mentiond 12 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
On the harder side of the world, there are entire open source products like Koha (https://koha-community.org) and Evergreen (https://evergreen-ils.org) that are capable of running large libraries, but require installation and systems maintenance. We use PINES which is based on Evergreen, which is open-source. I believe there are vendors you can pay to help you set it up and run it, and there's a volunteer community that will help, too. Of course, this is at the expense of having someone else run it *for* you, but my understanding is that we (Georgia libraries that use PINES) decided to make the software to address limitations in existing ILSs. If you have installed a heat map like hotjar.com then I will tell you that I used that for a month and found 5 or so dead ends where users were not getting to the cart or clicking on things that where not informative enough to lead to the next action. Source: about 1 year ago
