  • How good is WorldAnvil's support for a family tree?
If you want a good free software I'd recommend familyecho.com - you can import/export family trees and I also think there's a share function if you and your friends want? It does also calculate the closest relation between two people automatically. The big draw for me is that you can customise the display really well (number of generations, show birth/current names, make life dates invisible etc.). And none of... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Suggestion for family tree maker?
I've used it for historical reasons, but familyecho.com is FREE and easy to use. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Fiction Writers - How do you track family history/pedigrees?
Spreadsheets and Genealogical numbering systems help a lot IMO! But if you'd like a free, simple, and fiction friendly (aka no error messages for DOB's) I personally use familyecho.com! Source: over 1 year ago

  • Health Insurance USA
I have recently immigrated to the US. I need health insurance until I find a job which provides with one. I visited healthcare.gov and it was bit confusing as some of the plans were showing up a minimum of 500$/month (49 year old). Could someone advise me whether there are cheaper options. • How is everyone affording to live a life right now?
From the Billions spent on social services, from rental vouchers, to HEAP energy assistance, to SNAP food ebt benefits, to free internet service thru ACP, to free govt provided cells, to healthcare.gov, to earned income credits for working . That's how many are doing it. Information is a means to power! Source: 7 months ago
  • Retiring in Florida
Go to healthcare.gov and see if you qualify for insurance. Maximum out of pocket depends on the type of plan you pick and what it covers. If you don't qualify through healthcare.gov, you will need to buy insurance on your own which could be quite expensive. Source: 7 months ago
  • wanting to commit suicide due to my chest
You can still get it done without insurance, it's just really expensive. It will be thousands of dollars cheaper to get insurance for a year or so and have the surgery covered than to try and pay for it out of pocket, so it's worth maybe getting insurance. If you're in the USA, healthcare.gov is currently in its 2024 enrollment period so you can buy insurance right now for next year. Source: 7 months ago
