Yes, you should absolutely not be using Google Analytics. They don't need more data, your users don't want to see cookie banners and most of you really don't need 99% of the data that you can filter through... I can't recommend Fathom (https://usefathom.com) enough. They have a huge focus on privacy-first tracking. Even after all this I still didn't wanted to pin this on Cloudflare and decided to try out some other DNS that would give a free trial atleast and doesn't require to use their DNS but rather work with custom hostname to pin the DNS and was cheap enough to not break the bank in case I end up using it.
