We're using bash as our terminal shell for now (it is standard in many distros) but it is not the only one out there. That all being said: We are now all waiting on wxwidgets to release their next stable version so that we can upgrade. It makes no sense to use an unstable version of that upstream, as in its development releases it literally breaks on every patch level release.
