  One small recommendation would be to have only one caption instead of multiple. Another is for that old internet feel of weirdcore, try using a few fonts from cooltext.com or flamingtext.com and use a font that would look like it would be used in a Geocities page.   Honestly, if your going for easy to use, simple, and somewhat advanced programs I'd recommend something Adobe. However, it costs money sadly. Possibly Adobe illustrator, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Aftereffects. Unfortunately I am not in the pursuit of the Adobe series.   My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful.
