Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. Have you considered contract work? It would get your foot in the door and get you a paycheck. Get a free resume review at https://www.topresume.com/ and make sure your LI profile matches it. Also, do a search on your job position and make sure you are maximizing key words so the ATS picks up your resume. You can also post your resume to hired.com and let companies interview you.
