Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. Now if you don't mind paying a bit, TyranoBuilder is a plug and play type engine that you can build games on without much programming. There's also Visual Novel Maker, though I don't really know if VNM is better than Tyrano. The kinda plus side of VNM is that it comes with some pre-packaged assets. Source: over 2 years ago
