I worked on freelancer.com for 3 months doing mostly side gigs. WIth the payment, it wasn't much of an issue for me. The first payment indeed, it was more "special", as in, it took 2 months until I got the money in my account. But any other payment after that, were processed within days (at worst). I use Parabo Press for photo prints, calendars, photo books, etc.--slightly more expensive for some products but I think the quality is really good and they frequently have sales and discount codes. Their photos don't have a glossy coating, they're all matte (my preference anyway) so they might not hold up to the elements as well as coated prints, but I'd still rather have them in hand/on my walls than in my phone...
