  If you're not capable of hosting the solution yourself, there are solutions that have per-agent models that will cost you much less than SchoolDude, all while being substantially more feature rich. osTicket and FreshService are both great examples.   Ive had pretty good luck finding feeds for stuff I want to subscribe to. There isn't always an explicit rss link but you'd be surprised how many blog platforms provide a /rss or /feed endpoint by default.
