Yeah, CSS is something that requires practice. I'll say 1st week (or maybe less) for HTML and then the remaining 2 for CSS. There are some good resources like frontendmentor.io that you can try to get some understanding of how HTML and CSS work together. I'll say don't waste too much time on learning. I've not used vimwiki locally (tho I'm old enough to remember the Vim wiki on vim.org :), but I think what you are wanting to do is extend vimwiki's syntax file. I presume it installs one at $VIMRUNTIM/syntax or or ~/.vim/syntax. If this sounds right, then create a ~/.vim/after/syntax/vimwiki.vim file and place your match command in there.
