I got into Geotastic (which itself is inspired by GeoGuessr) a while ago and really love it. If you never heard about the game: You get thrown to somewhere in the world in Google street view and have to guess pick your location on a world map. Source: about 2 years ago

True, this, and all one has to do is look at solar noon altitudes from any place on earth on web sites like timeanddate.com. It helps when anybody local can verify these numbers (I used them to build a sundial so discrepancies would be noticed). Source: about 1 year ago
