However, for me it didn't automatically set up a www subdomain. So I could access, say, https://https://myblog.lol, but https://www.myblog.lol would result in a 502.   According to this website, you can expect about $4.18 per 1k views. This kids channel has 78M since 2018. That would suggest he's made about $326k in those five years. Now that assumes everyone watched the ads, which is unlikely. But even if it's 25% then he's made $81k doing this just from YT ad revenue.
