On this family summer trip to Asia, I've admittedly been relying heavily on Google Translate. As someone who lives in the world of APIs, that makes me think of "its API,"^ the Google Cloud Translation API. Pure translation, though, is not the same as finding the right words (although they're similar), and that makes me think of natural language understanding (NLU). When considering NLU and NLP (natural language... - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago
The word "betula" in Hebrew means "virgin". Was this intentional? I almost spat out my dinner. https://translate.google.com/?sl=auto&tl=en&text=%D7%91%D7%AA%D7%95%D7%9C%D7%94&op=translate. - Source: Hacker News / 28 days ago
Honestly, these are some of my favorite stories and I think more ML people need to learn more about mythology (I say this as a ML researcher btw). ColorSlurp is my preferred color picker. It too has multiple keyboard shortcuts as well as a bunch of other great little features to make it a well-rounded picker. And as a heavy Alfred user, I love that there is a heavy support for URL schemes so I can trigger a bunch of actions via external scripts. Source: about 1 year ago

I don’t know whether everybody would benefit from this, but I know designers definitely will, and that’s an app called ColorSlurp, its a powerful desktop colour picker. It’s great for picking colours from webpages or images and dropping it right into Illustrator, Photoshop etc. https://colorslurp.com. Source: about 2 years ago
