• Technical question: Is there a GPX editor software (or web-service) that has functionality to export a track file with automatically added "turn after turn" notifications?

The former well-known service gpsies.com (now replaced with alltrails.com, which has a really poor functionality) had an extremely useful track export functionality, which enabled notifications automatically added to the track structure with indication in advance of need to turn at forks in the road. • Navigation with Garmin Fenix - too many waypoints on track

  If you put the track into gpsies.com or some service like that, you should be able to "convert" it into a pure gpx track without the waypoints. Then re-import and add waypoints where you need them. Source: almost 3 years ago

  Also, the documents mention the craft lies between the Skaitevaara and Pahtavaara mountains. I couldn't find either of those on google maps so I did a little more googling and found this website that has detailed information on peaks around the world. So I punched in Skaitevaara and Pahtavaara. Skaitevaara seems to be misspelled and is actually Skaitevarra. It lies directly north of the main buildings at Esrange.... Source: 12 months ago

• I took this photo inbound to Afghanistan 2008. Can you guys pinpoint where these mountains are? I believe this was over Tajikistan

  First I had to stabilize the photo to make it a little more easier to see the terrain. Then I used https://peakvisor.com/ to pinpoint the mountain peaks. After that, I checked the mountain peaks through Google Maps. Source: over 1 year ago
