Mozilla has a great security team and they have recently moved to HackerOne https://hackerone.com/. I don't understand where you get the basis for saying that mozilla employees don't work on weekends. Any facts or substantiation or just speculation? Source: about 1 year ago
You pick a target, for example hackerone.com. Source: about 1 year ago
There are many resources online nowadays to learn security. You can do challenges on https://root-me.org, https://www.hackthebox.com/, https://overthewire.org/wargames/, etc. You can participate in security competitions (CTFs), see https://ctftime.org for a list of upcoming events. And finally if you are more interested in web security you can look for bugs on websites and get paid for it by https://hackerone.com... Source: over 1 year ago
Do Bug bounty on https://hackerone.com. You'll get paid if you really know how to hack and write a report.alot oh cash rains in the thousands if you can pwn a computer that is in scope .plus its legal as long as you stay in scope. Source: over 1 year ago
Depending on what type of cybersecurity you want to do, there's other ways to set yourself apart as well. Even then, at big companies those people still have to go through HR just like everybody else. Source: almost 2 years ago
Sounds good but please vote Nov ‘24. https://vote.org and https://turbovote.com. Source: 7 months ago
Vote.org for anyone reading this. You can find out how to register to vote, and you can learn about the options available to you (in person, by mail, etc). Source: 7 months ago
You can check your status (or actually register to vote) by going to vote.org and selecting your state. It's simple and takes very little time. Do it now so you're ready for the November 2023 local and state elections and to have one less thing to worry about going into the 2024 General Election. Source: 9 months ago
Friendly reminder to go to vote.org and Ohio Democrats, make sure you're registered, register like-minded individuals, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Go to r/voteDem for more opportunities to see what you can do in your area! This isn't just about Nov 2024, but all the little stuff in between (like Issue 1!!!) Early voting has ALREADY started, but it's not too late by any means at all!! Source: 11 months ago
But, but... it's for the kids! (except for when the kids are being shot, then we don't give a shit). It's so insanely transparent and obvious that legislators (on both sides of the aisle, but definitely one side more than the other these days) use 'kid safety' as an excuse to push through distracting and fascist state style policies. Same thing that was happening in 1930 Germany. I'm re-reading The Rise and Fall... Source: 12 months ago
