mirrord is an open-source tool that lets developers run local processes in the context of their cloud environment. It’s meant to provide the benefits of running your service on a cloud environment (e.g. staging) without actually going through the hassle of deploying it there, and without disrupting the environment by deploying untested code.

I can debug my code on my machine while it's accessing resources on my k8s cluster.
mirrord is super easy to get started with and works out of the box on any deployment.
Based on our record, Hadoop should be more popular than mirrord. It has been mentiond 17 times since March 2021. In this project, I'm exploring the Medallion Architecture which is a data design pattern that organizes data into different layers based on structure and/or quality. I'm creating a fictional scenario where a large enterprise that has several branches across the country. Each branch receives purchase orders from an app and deliver the goods to their customers. The enterprise wants to identify the branch that... - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago
Data analysis software is also widely used in the telecommunications industry to manage network performance, detect fraud, and analyze customer data. Telecommunications companies can use data analysis software to analyze network data in real-time, allowing them to identify and address issues quickly. In addition, data analysis software can help telecommunications companies identify new revenue streams and improve... - Source: dev.to / 24 days ago

There are different ways to implement parallel dataflows, such as using parallel data processing frameworks like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink, or using cloud-based services like Amazon EMR and Google Cloud Dataflow. It is also possible to use parallel dataflow frameworks to handle big data and distributed computing, like Apache Nifi and Apache Kafka. Source: over 1 year ago
There are several frameworks available for batch processing, such as Hadoop, Apache Storm, and DataTorrent RTS. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
So, you've been using mirrord to simplify your development process (if you haven’t, go here!). Naturally, you want the traffic from the app you're debugging to go through the cluster environment, so your app can communicate with its clustery pals. There is a problem though: your latest change adds some new columns to the database, and you don’t want to modify the database in the cluster and affect everyone else... - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

We're building an open-source tool called mirrord which lets you run a local process in the context of a pod in your cloud environment. We often get asked how mirrord is different from Telepresence and so we decided to write a short blog post about it, which we hope would be valuable to those interested in local Kubernetes development:. If you want to troubleshoot your app specificially or any network traffic, I'd recommend Https://mirrord.dev/ Just do, mirrord exec -t pod/target-pod -- ./path/to/process and run it in the context of your pod. Source: about 1 year ago
Turns out supporting node.js in IntelliJ plugins is not as easy as you would expect (mostly because the extension point we are extending is not documented. With documentation this could have been simple), but we did it! I'm the JetBrains fan of the team, so I'm happy we're extending our support for IntelliJ. You can now run and debug node.js applications with the mirrord IntelliJ plugin. Mirrord let's you run... Source: about 1 year ago
