Does anyone know for how long the legacy HBO Max app/web service will be still available. I'm talking about https://play.hbomax.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
So it definitely happens on the HBO Max app from the play store, but does NOT happen when I stream from play.hbomax.com in fullscreen...weird stuff...but also I don't remember ever seeing anything about a 480p limit from streaming apps, and the HBO Max app is definitely higher resolution than that, it looks exactly the same from the app to the website...thanks for the tip though, I guess I'll just use the websites... Or are you accessing from some xfinity-specific HBO site and not https://play.hbomax.com/ ? Source: over 1 year ago
They no longer have a free trial directly but you can still get a free trial through Amazon or Hulu. You can also watch some free episodes by going directly to https://play.hbomax.com. Source: over 1 year ago
I can't access HBO Now, https://www.hbonow.com shows a "404 Not Found" error and https://play.hbonow.com shows some random HTML. Source: almost 2 years ago
Downie is a versatile downloader, now in its 4th generation. It can be used as a browser plugin, allowing you to download almost anything from the web. You can also copy the webpage... - Source: dev.to / 11 days ago
Definitely don’t use any of those screen recording apps - that’s just brute forcing it, you’re reencoding the content and losing a ton of video and audio quality. Any embedded video online (unless is uses DRM, which is not this case) can be extracted and downloaded in original quality. If you’re on a Mac, I strongly recommend using Downie, it’s a great piece of software. https://software.charliemonroe.net/downie/... Source: about 1 year ago

Though it’s for downloading videos and not screen capping DRM videos, I can’t recommend Downie enough. Source: about 1 year ago
Downie is just an old-school macOS download manager I'm fond of - nothing special. Source: about 1 year ago
