bitwarden Reviews

  1. A great password management tool

I moved from 1Password to Bitwarden about half a year ago. I never looked back, and I've never missed anything. The UI might be a touch clunkier than 1Password, but it's still good and perfectly usable on the whole. What is more, it is open-source and people can inspect its code.

  • Hotel with a view of Bay Bridge or Alcatraz?
Look on TripAdvisor or HotelTonight for hotels that fit your requirements for the date(s) you want to stay. Almost none of us have actually stayed in such places. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Visiting for our honeymoon - best neighbourhood + hotel advice needed :)
I think a lot of people book hotels using credit card rewards. But another option is hoteltonight.com which is where many hotels sell their extra, unsold rooms. I believe you can book out several months in advance though, funny enough. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Questions on Hostels
If you can get to the Metro North station before the last train, do so. The metro north trains are fine. The worst problem you might have are some loud drunk people headed home after a night out. You're going to be hard pressed to find any lodgings for $50. You might try hoteltonight.com or their app. Good luck. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Visiting NYC for the first time. Safe areas to stay?
Take a look on hoteltonight.com to get a sense of hotel prices. Though keep in mind October costs may not be the same as what is listed now and weekends are nearly double in price. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Online Safety: A Guide to Protecting Yourself
While not every site has adopted passwordless logins, a better way to secure your accounts that still use passwords is by using a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password. • What program(s) do you use to remember passwords, including crypto?
For passwords and 2FA I use Bitwarden in combination with a self-hosted Vaultwarden service (for imcreased security and use of pro features for free). Source: 7 months ago
  • Amazon Account with unauthorised purchases, did my google passwords get leaked
First it's good to use a password manager, however it's not a good idea to use the one built into your browser. I would suggest switching to BitWarden or similar (not LastPass). Source: 7 months ago
  • Did I mess up?
I just noticed today when relogging in on Bitwarden (I couldn't sync my vault) that it said "Logged in as [email] on __$2__" instead of "Logged in as [email] on bitwarden.com". I don't know why or how that happened, and I have no idea what it means. Did I screw up somehow? Just to be clear, I did login and just after I logged in my brain realized that it said "__$2__" instead of what it should say. Source: 7 months ago
