  • I had an appointment with an RD and came away very disheartened
You are on the right path and the recommendations from others to use a smaller plate are excellent! When I was in college, one summer I used chopsticks at lunch so so I’d eat slower. Ultimately if your goal is weight loss you will need to have a calorie deficit. What foods you eat to create the deficit is up to you. I’d encourage you to track what/when you eat, your hunger level (starving, little bit hungry or not... Source: 7 months ago
  • Mood Tracking Apps?
Ooh yes. I use “How We Feel.” It’s free and has been developed by psychoanalysts and gives reports at the end of the week to highlight any trends. Also will shares informative short little videos after you log a mood for further support! Take a look: https://howwefeel.org. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How do I learn to stand up for myself?
Get in touch with all of your emotions, including anger. A mood tracker app or feelings wheels helps me do this. You've dealt with a lot of unfairness (bullying) and frustration (fawning and uncontrollable people pleasing). Tap into your anger about that and demand respect. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Anyone else extremely verbal but lack ability to communicate true feelings?
The struggle to communicate your feelings sounds like alexithymia. A Feelings Wheel or using an app like How We Feel can help you practice tuning into your emotions. Developing an understanding of your emotions may help you communicate them better and feel more comfortable opening up about your emotions to others. Source: over 1 year ago
  • improve your emotional awareness
Hi guys... As someone with bipolar disorder, sometimes I find it hard to describe the emotions I'm having with real words. My therapist suggested this app, and honestly I really love it. You do daily emotional check ins. there's so many words to choose from. It also suggests some quick mediations if you're interested. You can track your emotions with like 10 different charts, as well send your check ins to your... Source: over 1 year ago

  • Has anyone been in contact with the vet clinic at the SPCA on east Erie? Looking for advice on how to get through to someone..
Even though I can get appointments with my regular vet, I also have PAWP https://pawp.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Hi, I'm a first-time cat owner, so I'm a little paranoid about things. I noticed my cat's eye was like this just half an hour ago, before that he was perfectly fine. The pupil dilates when in a dark environment, but it never stays. Has this happened to anybody else?
Get pet insurance and go to a vet instead of asking Reddit. Pawp. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Day 9 🐈‍⬛ 👩‍⚕️😐
I really felt you when you said when you told your cat you would take her to the vet. I done the same thing with my cats. I would even push my kitties away when they tried climbing onto my keyboard while I gambled. 😭 I'm not sure if you tried talking to animal hospital about payments, but some allow it. Try looking up pawp.com , I haven't used it myself but it might help you. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • puppy wellness plan or pet insurance??
I'm not going through Pawp but they might be good to look into they're lower end pricing maybe 20$ a month?; https://pawp.com/ And don't cover a TON but even if you save 500$ for example through them or whatever it is, it's still quite a bit you don't have to deal with. Lemonade as well has a lower end but I've... Not heard great things from them. PetsBest, HealthyPaws, etc tend to be around 30ish in my local area. Source: almost 3 years ago
