Ethereum is not just currency at its core, its a smart contract platform which is used to implement distributed consensus, where each participating party sign the result, with their consensus algorithm. We're actually making an app for this, it's currently only on Android as a beta but we're developing the new version also on iOs :) we called it FriendZone to make it clear from the very name that its purpose it's not dating.
