I know you said you want a free platform, but if you are able to pay, two sources I would check are Planet, which sounds like it might be ideal for you except that it doesn't go very far back in time, and Apollo, which is a multi-source reseller with a good browse tool. I would also recommend checking out PhotoPrism for a robust self hosted endpoint. One of the features that sets that project apart is its implementation of object and facial detection to help classify and sort or search your library.
