Best Gitbook Alternatives You Need to Try in 2023
Jekyll is a static site generator often used to create blogs and websites, similar to Gitbook in its ability to generate documentation from markdown files. Jekyll is built in Ruby and is known for its flexibility and ease of use. It also has a large community and a wide variety of plugins and themes available. Jekyll's main advantage is that it is highly customizable,...

11 Popular Free And Open Source WordPress CMS alternatives in 2021
Unlike some listed alternatives, Jekyll is also a static site generator so it lays in the same category. It uses Ruby and we would say it's simpler, free, and open-source CMS software.

10 static site generators to watch in 2021
Perhaps most conveniently described as Jekyll implemented with JavaScript rather than Ruby, Eleventy has now moved beyond that while retaining a clear and simple on-ramp, and only shipping to the browser what you tell it too. As with Jekyll and Hugo, no JavaScript frameworks are auto-baked in.

Hugo vs Jekyll: an Epic Battle of Static Site Generator Themes
Jekyll isn’t strict with its content location. It expects pages in the root of your site, and will build whatever’s there. Here’s how you might organize these pages in your Jekyll site root:

  • Recovering My Blog with Jekyll and Proxmox
Today I decided to try and update the Jekyll theme for this site, Chirpy. If you've watched the blog or gone to this blog's status page you probably noticed it was down for a few hours today. Needless to say, things didn't go as planned. It turns out that the last time I tried to update/recreate the blog site I chose the Chirpy Starter option instead of the Github Fork option, and in trying to update it the whole... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago

  • Starlight vs. Docusaurus for building documentation
In that case, what we need would be closer to a static site generator (like Gatsby, Hugo, Jekyll). But, static site generators aren't the best choice either because we would have to build a lot of documentation-focused functionality (like versioning, search, and code blocks) ourselves. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago

  • Buffering on some movies-nvidia shield pro & real debrid
My mistake, real-debrid doesn't have a speedtest, premiumize.me does. But google kodi advancedsettings.xml and read about how to make it. It's just a text file with an .xml at the end. Pretty straight forward on how to make it. You can use any editor (I use notepad+ but you can use notepad.) I haven't had any buffering in years. But I also reset my shield back to android 9 and use a different launcher so I... Source: about 1 year ago
  • umbrella AND seren stopped working
I no longer have premiumize.me, but I did have this issue with them once. The CDN I was on got flaky. I have been back with RD for over a year so I forget how you check. I think they have a speed test where you can check different CDNs like Cloudflare and others and different locations. Source: over 1 year ago
