This rabbit hole is a waste of time, as someone who's been down it, you'll find piles of resources claiming CSS and JS flags will give you what you want but it never really gets there. The only way to actually get true aliased brushes in canvas is implementing a line drawing algorithm manually and drawing down aliased circles like how https://gifpaint.com/ & https://jspaint.app/ do it. - Source: Hacker News / 17 days ago
OKAY! I've got some good reccomendations!!! Https://aggie.io/ - Proper artist-y program, layers, different brush styles, all the works, if you want something in-depth, this is perfect Https://jspaint.app/ - A favorite of mine, an web-based old school MSPaint clone, doesn't have newer MSpaint features but it's great for Aliased(no transparency) and Pixel art :D. I also find it very fun to download some color... Source: 7 months ago

If I were to really invest in dbms, and only able to read-only the data (analyze, query, etc) something like Metabase is my go to choice (https://www.metabase.com). If I also need update the data itself, internal tools builder like Retool (https://retool.com) probably good enough. But, it all depends on the use case. - Source: Hacker News / about 11 hours ago
I am building https://github.com/claceio/clace and https://retool.com/, allow automation of operational tasks through a web interface while also allowing fully custom web apps. This seems to mainly be useful for spinning up quick and dirty internal tools. But for that use-case, isn't it easier to use something visual and established like Retool (https://retool.com/) or that generates nice react code, like MUI Toolpad (https://mui.com/toolpad/)? - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago

This especially true in startups, whose... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
I submitted an application for w24 that fits in the "Developer tools inspired by existing internal tools" category but wasn't accepted. I suspect my pitch probably needed work, and I also haven't started building at all yet and submitted as a solo-founder which it seems has less chance of being accepted. Here's the pitch and some details, in case anyone else is interested in the idea: > Supportal uses AI to... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
