Also ask the developer how they want to work, and if there is a software they like to use to facilitate the work. Are they Kanban? Scrum? Waterfall? Watch a video or two on the do's and don't of the one method the Dev wants to use, so you know what to expect if your developer asks you for a "Story" or a "Task" or a "Ticket" or if you need to 'clarify acceptance criteria', which is literally what I was doing at... I know that at Linkedin you can post a job ad for free but the quality is pathetic. I recieved 900 applications in 1 hour and none of them was worth interviewing.
