Hadn't heard of this (https://kdenlive.org/en/). Thank you! - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
"Regular" people don't really need FFMPEG. Regular people need tools with GUIs that have a non-generic purpose. So stuff like https://kdenlive.org/en/ that are backed by ffmpeg are (imo) superior "regular" person tools. FFMPEG isn't complicated (its as complicated as any other CLI tool), it's that video encoding/decoding specifically is a hard problem space that you have to explicitly learn to better understand... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
Great that you got it to work. Just to make the list with potential tools a bit more complete: - Kdenlive is also a fairly capable video editor. https://kdenlive.org/en/ - From what I have heard the Blender video editor for many people is a go to tool as well. You might be interested in Kdenlive. It's not online, but can be installed on any OS and I've had it running on some pretty dated machines. Source: 7 months ago

If you use BeReal just for you, for the montage at the end of the year, you may be interested by the app 1 Second Everyday instead (or in addition). Source: 8 months ago
Recommendation: this app. I was a kickstarter for the app, just finished the first year for my son, and recently had a 30 minute conversation with their product developer, who seems VERY interested in making the app even better! Source: over 1 year ago
Also, plugging my favorite hobby One Second Everyday — I think you’d have some pretty awesome footage! link. Source: over 1 year ago
That sounds similar to the idea of 1 Second Everyday, https://1se.co/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
I've been doing the '1 second every day' since 2012 and then having my daughter, it's more of her than of me. If you're going for 'easiest' then I would just your phone and the app. Source: about 2 years ago
