  I read it and it looks like they studied r/TheRedPill, r/DatingAdvice, r/Atheism, and r/TheDonald, but I don't see where it suggests the results might apply to subreddits such as r/religion or other discussion platforms such as kialo.com.   As for music, I use a spotify premium account to do a remote listening session. It's been my best solution so far. A friend of mine uses watch2gether.com, its a great free option to integrate music and video streaming. It's not ideal for a whole host of reasons, if you ask me, but it IS free and simple.
